Age 8 is a great time to help your child discover what it means to worship faithfully, not just on the weekend, but every day. Worship is our response to who God is and all He has done for us through Jesus. It’s more than singing songs at church; it’s a life that continually turns our attention toward God. You have an incredible opportunity to help them see that worship is a lifestyle. You can model what it looks like to seek God at home, at church, and in the everyday moments of life.

Worship is both an action and an attitude. A heart that recognizes the greatness of God and responds to Him with love, gratitude, obedience, and praise. As we help our children learn to take their eyes off themselves and fix their attention on God, they begin to discover that following Jesus changes everything. We may be able to divide our attention in a hundred different directions, but worship calls us to pause, recognize who God is, and give Him our whole heart.
