Sermon Series - Jesus Encounters

Have you ever had an encounter with Jesus? Many seemingly unexpected meet ups occurred between Jesus and others while He walked the earth. While they may have seemed unforeseen at first, God intentionally had a plan and purpose for each one of them. This remains true today. What does an encounter with Jesus look like? During this series, we will look at the people Jesus encountered and how their lives were changed, so that we may walk more deeply in our own relationship with Him. This week, we’ll look at the Jesus encounter in Matthew 20:20-28.

Happy Mother’s Day

To all the mothers, we are excited to celebrate with you this Sunday. We’ll have an extra treat for everyone to enjoy in honor of your special day. Invite someone to come with you!

Baptism

Our next baptism is Sunday, June 30, at the North Jetty Beach. Baptism is the biblical way to publicly express you believe Jesus has done everything necessary for your salvation. By getting baptized, you are letting others know Jesus has changed your life and you now live for him. We encourage you to sign up if you’re ready to be baptized or have questions about getting baptized.

Kids Summer Camp

There are only a few spots left…register today! Student Life Kids Camp, a camp designed for current 2-5 graders, is July 8-11 at Southeastern University Lakeland, Florida.

Student Life Kids Camp includes:

• Intentional BIBLE STUDY

MEGA Camp

MEGA Camp is back for another season of summer fun! Join us on June 24-26 at SKY Academy Englewood from 6-8:30PM. Registrations for both Volunteers and Campers are open!

MEGA camp is a mega-fun, free camp for children age four-year through fifth grade. In addition to sports or creative activities, all campers participate in a nightly Bible lesson.

We need volunteers to help us make MEGA camp a safe and exciting event for our campers. Please register as a volunteer today!

180 House

The 180 House, one of our mission partners, is having a fundraiser this Saturday, May 11, from 9AM-12PM. Visit the 180 House at 328 Miami Avenue in Venice where Bergey’s Coffee Truck will be onsite. Grab your favorite coffee order from a local Venice business and get a tour of the house as proceeds go to helping the 180 House students get to camp this summer!

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity for South Sarasota County is inviting volunteers to lend a helping hand on Saturday, May 11, from 7:30AM - 12PM as they lay sod at their new build in North Port. It’s a perfect day to bring friends, family, and kids out to help finish building a home. No experience is necessary…just a willingness to serve!
