Michael was born in Orlando and moved around a lot, but mostly grew up in Lake Mills, WI. He attended University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as a Music (percussion) major and graduated in 2013. He met his wife, Katie, serving together in youth group and they were married in 2015. They have one daughter, Eleanor, and a hilariously tiny chihuahua, Rosie.

Michael became a Christ-follower in college while pursuing a music degree. Up until that point, music was mostly centered around a selfish need to be good at it and prove to everyone how great he was. However, after graduation, he started serving in his church’s music ministry, where the Lord completely flipped his perspective around! God showed him how much He loves it when His people sing to Him, and that the reason He invented music was so we could show everyone how great HE is!

This passion for whole-life worship is what eventually led to Michael serving as a worship pastor, associate pastor, family pastor, then as a music director here at The Bridge in 2024.
